THE SUN BURNOPFIELD.
Kimera at The Sun, Burnopfield, a band who I have probably seen twenty times in the last ten years and last night was probably the best. Raging power, great chemistry and new singer Louise has one of the best voices I have heard in a pub or club. Iron Maiden, The Offspring, Michael Jackson, Blink 182- she can take on anything vocally. James Handyside even managed the Angus duck walk despite hospitalising himself doing the same thing years ago, sheesh! That's commitment for you. Mint night! - Kev Moor 13/04/13
THE TRAVELLERS REST BURNOPFIELD
'We're lucky enough to have had Kimera play for us twice now. If you haven't seen them play already then definitely do so, otherwise you're missing out on a real treat! They're a four piece rock covers band with amazing female lead vocals (check out their cover of Evanescence's Bring Me to Life!) plus musically, they're tight as hell. They've chosen a great set list, mixing old with the new. Its rare to see a pub band play with such enthusiasm, these guys manage to keep you captivated for a full 90mins, plus however many more songs you can mange to squeeze out of them. A lovely bunch too, overall you'll certainly be impressed.'
THE GOLDEN FLEECE SUNDERLAND
'Seen these guys @ The Golden Fleece Sunderland. Really enjoyed them. I understand they have had a line up change recently and as a result took on a new female singer. Nice n tight band, good playing and the singer has a cracking voice. Made the hairs stand up on my arms when doing Evanescence.
THE BEBSIDE BLYTH
'Kimera, totally rocked the Bebside Inn. 4 younguns, I say young as I am sooo old lol. Enthusiastic, great sound and fantastic music. On the couple of times they stopped to breathe and speak to the audience what they had to say was fun and open to audience participation. They look and play like they are loving every minute of being in their band. We did have to wait for 3 minutes until James emptied his bladder as they had played non stop for an hour and a half and he had nearly drank the bar dry, but to be fair it was the end of the night and these rockers should really have been in bed lol (they really aren't that young but im at the age where policemen are young). I got to have a little chat with James on guitar and Louise on vocals and they are very pleasant. Well done! huge pat on the back, will be seeing you again soon!'
THE STAR INN NEWCASTLE
I was at the star saturday night 24 january and kimera were playing. Got to say they put on the most stunning performance i have seen for a long time louise the singer can handle any style of rock song hits every note effortlessly. Guitar bass and drums work together like a machine producing the most amazing deep bottom end wall of sound
